| This is the Hare's Ear version of the Czech Mate Nymph fly pattern used to imitate a number of different trout foods such as a scud or caddis larva. These scud nymphs are very common in fast riffle water and commonly used by Europeans in their tight line nymphing techniques. Add a bit of weight to get these flies down in the riffles and then pull the fly up to the surface on the swing to imitate them swimming to the surface to emerge. Trout fly nymph pattern in brown. In sizes: 10, 12, 14 or 16. |
