It is a conehead fly tied Matuka style with brown, orange and yellow feathers and olive crystal chenille body. It looks like a twenty first century Platte River Space Ship. If you like throwing large wet flies, with the real prospect of moving some large fish the Orange Blossom Special is the fly you want in your selection. With a good silhouette, some flash, and a good amount of weight thrown in to get it in the zone and keep it there this fly just needs two things to be effective; water, and your stripping arm.
